QA-IQ has appointed its first Director of Professional Best Practice to lead and develop a new business unit. Jeff Payne, previously Head of the Service Management Practice at QA-IQ, will broaden his focus from August 2008 to include the Project and Programme Management and Business Analysis and Systems Development Practices as well as ensuring the continued success of the fast-growing Service Management portfolio.

QA-IQ has seen rapidly increasing customer demand for a strong range of services including consulting and a full curriculum of courses and certification, as today's business professional needs a wider range of capabilities than ever before to succeed in a competitive market. Both individuals and organisations are keen to develop a rounded set of professional skills to meet business goals, secure strong career progression, and achieve the most competitive salaries.

Jeff explains;
"This is an important area for our business and I see this as an opportunity to ensure that we're offering the best possible range of courses and related services to our customers. In the last 18 months we have seen our Service Management Practice more then double its presence in the market and there is a similar level of demand for Project Management and ISEB certification. By growing this area of our business we will be able to increase the number of courses available and the range of subjects on which we can deliver skills - as well as the number of high-quality Lecturers and Consultants available - all of which will help our customers achieve their goals.

"Current economic conditions are further emphasising the need for strong project managers delivering on budget and on time; effective customer focused Service Management that provides the right service, at the right time at the right price; and systems analysis and development that supports the business needs. All of these are achievable with the right balance of skills within an organisation. With the increased focus on the ROI seen from focused learning programmes, these are areas where an immediate positive impact is being felt."

By increasing the focus on these areas of its client services and curriculum - delivered alongside market-leading technical training and complemented by a wide range of management and personal development skills - QA-IQ can provide its customers with an end-to-end service for skills development.
