EAGA, the UK’s largest provider of residential energy efficiency solutions, has chosen e2train’s Kallidus Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver its international induction programme and other training initiatives. EAGA has experienced rapid growth since its inception in 1990, expanding to over 4,500 employees worldwide. Ensuring everyone is up to speed despite geographic boundaries is a priority. By implementing Kallidus, EAGA is achieving its goals whilst practising its green and efficiency saving values.
EAGA is at the forefront of the low carbon economy and works in partnership with central and local government, and commercial organisations to provide products, services and solutions that address the environmental and social objectives of the government and private sector. Renewing heating systems, providing home insulation and providing innovative carbon reduction products are all core services. Its key values are centred on climate change and social inclusion. Employees , which as a co-owned business it refers to as Partners, are now spread worldwide across the UK, Ireland, Canada and India.
Explains EAGA Systems Trainer, Paul Trueman, ‘With the huge growth in demand for EAGA’s services in the past few years, we have grown exponentially with employees and a strong Partner network around the world. To continue meeting demand, we needed our induction process to be immediate and effective. But with such a broad geographic spread we thought carefully about our solution. We couldn’t approve excessive employee travel for example, because a fundamental part of our values is to always consider the environment and the greenest option in everything that we do.’
e2train’s Kallidus LMS has been implemented to deliver e-learning as the most energy and cost efficient solution. Starting with the induction programme, Kallidus now delivers training on customer service training, change management and a wide range of general IT upskill across the organisation without additional employee or partner travel. The online, social elements of Kallidus such as chat rooms and forums mean that trainees can interact and build relationships with each other, regardless of their locations.
Comments Rob Caul, e2train Managing Director, ‘Winning the opportunity to work with EAGA has been particularly rewarding because of their admirable green philosophies, which we continue to learn from ourselves. We are enjoying working with the team at EAGA to help the solution evolve as the company’s rapid growth continues.’
EAGA has already upgraded to Kallidus 8 and the team is excited about the extra capabilities of the new reporting suite. Continues Trueman, ‘It is absolutely crucial to prove the effectiveness of the learning solutions that we deliver. The new reporting suite will enable us to really understand the benefits to the company as a whole. We plan to map in reporting universes from different systems in the organisation so we can track the impact of training on specific activities such as sales and project completion rates.’
