Ufi Ltd has appointed a new Board member, Donald Clark , former CEO at e-learning company Epic. Donald brings to the Ufi Board the expertise of more than 20 years working in the e-learning market. As a founder and CEO of Epic group plc, he helped build what is now the UK’s market leader in e-learning, and his experience ranges from designing courses to strategic management. He also has both private and public sector board experience, including the Interactive University, the Brighton Festival Fringe and Brighton Festival & Dome.

John Weston, Chairman of the Ufi Board, said: “Donald makes a welcome addition to our team, and the Board is positioned to take Ufi – now in its sixth year - forward to the next stage of its development as a provider of world-class e-learning and e-services. Donald’s experience in providing e-learning to large corporations will be invaluable in helping us maximise Ufi’s potential to generate commercial income through learndirect, and his background as a CEO and board member will help shape Ufi to play its part in increasing skills levels in the UK.”

Donald added: “I’ve recognised for many years the potential of computers to revolutionise the access to and delivery of learning. Since its launch in October 2000, learndirect has helped more than 1.7 million people improve their skills and their prospects, and is now one of the best known adult learning brands in the UK. I’m looking forward to being part of Ufi’s success, and helping even more individuals and businesses use technology to fulfil their potential.”
