| Bespoke training and e-learning specialists Peakdean Interactive have won a major contract from one of the world's leading financial services companies to develop a comprehensive package of product knowledge e-learning courses. The package - totalling some 28 hours of learning - is to be used throughout the world, and is aimed principally at call centre staff.
Each course consists of highly graphical, scenario-driven learning units where products are matched to both retail and business customer needs. Using both computer-based and existing paper-based resources, users of the course are asked to find out key pieces of product information in order to answer customer queries during the scenarios.
All the learning units are assessed, and final evaluation is through a series of innovative game-style quizzes.
"When we were first approached for the work, our customer stipulated that it must be colourful, captivating and inspiring" explains Peakdean director Peter Ross. "Our challenge was to take an extremely large volume of complex subject matter and make our courses match this requirement. Our background in developing highly interactive, engaging courseware for the financial sector has enabled us to do just that."
Commenting on Peakdean's approach to the work, a client spokesman says "They have taken the time to understand our needs, the platforms on which we deliver, our internal standards and the way the various different businesses that comprise the organisation work.
We have always found Peakdean to be professional, responsive, adaptive and creative. They always provide a variety of 'treatments' for a project, and are happy to adapt to changing business needs. They have always kept us informed of their progress against deadlines and sent work in progress through on a regular basis.
All in all it has been a pleasure to work with such a professional and dedicated company and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the future."
