Atlantic Link announced that Mike Covol had joined them as SVP of Sales. Mike will focus on the expansion of Atlantic Link in the Americas through direct sales and channel initiatives.
Mike has held senior positions in IT sales and marketing for some of the leading software companies in America, including Progress Software, Inc, CorVu Corporation, Informix Software, Inc. and Actuate Corporation.
"My number one goal is to replicate the phenomenal success enjoyed in the UK", says Covol. "Atlantic Link has the world's most advanced rapid e-learning tools and we see the USA as a massive opportunity for our world-beating products. I know that we will see the same meteoric success that we have experienced in the UK".
Commenting from their US Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, Covol adds: "We have just had unbelievable success at the ASTD 2007 International Conference in Atlanta (June 3-6th), where we generated over 200 leads. I've never seen such interest in software or technology like this before".
Atlantic Link has just signed another key partnership deal in the US and Canada with the Educons Group. EduCons, who have vast experience in the learning space, will focus on Government (GSA) and mobile learning markets. After an extensive search of the e-learning market, EduCons chose Atlantic Link because of its rapid server-based e-learning authoring capability. "It was the only product that seamlessly published e-learning lessons to mobile devises at the click of a button and without having to re-author the lessons", says David Still, President of EduCons Canada Inc.
