| Futuremedia Learning announced that it has won the contract to provide an environmental training package for one of the UK’s leading financial services companies, a member of ClimateWise.
ClimateWise is the group of insurers brought together under the leadership of Peter Hubbard (AXA UK), and committed to take action on climate change.
The programme, which is scheduled to be released to the client’s 8,500 employees in August, portrays messages from global, workplace and home perspectives, with additional information on the organisation’s own Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. It aims to elicit a change in individual behaviours both at home and at work, and to increase engagement with the Organisation’s CSR policy.
Using e-learning for this training is all the more fitting, since not only is e-learning a highly effective means of instruction and communication, it also instructs and communicates in a more carbon-friendly way than face-to-face training or briefing sessions, reducing travel, printing, paper use and overnights.
CSR is a hot topic among corporates and large government organisations at the moment and Futuremedia Learning is talking to a number of clients about leveraging its experience and knowledge in this area - following its own logic of reduce, reuse and recycle!
Andrea Miles, Managing Director of Futuremedia Learning said: ‘CSR is very close to our hearts at Futuremedia Learning, as it’s one of our core values. We have a lot of experience in this area due to our long and successful involvement with the Waste Facilities Audit Association (WFAA), and our work for them. I’m delighted that we have won this exciting contract, and commend the many other firms who have expressed interested in leveraging our knowledge and experience here. Too often in training we’re reinventing the wheel: with the planet’s resources under threat we all need to operate more efficiently.’
