| WBT Systems announced the release of version 8 of its TopClass e-Learning solution. The release, which is available immediately, delivers important improvements to TopClass, particularly in the areas of Classroom Management and eCommerce. The new version also includes a much enhanced and user-friendly interface. The TopClass 8 functionality was developed in response to feedback from existing WBT customers and the market. The eCommerce functionality in particular is well suited to associations, a growing market for WBT Systems.
New TopClass 8 features include:
- Intuitive user interface with personalized dashboards and RSS Feeds
- Advanced workflows with streamlined processes for efficient set up of learning activities
- Enhanced classroom management with full resourcing for instructors, equipment, locations & time zones
- Improved eCommerce functionality including selection of payment options, support for tokens & discounts and seamless integration with PayPal and VeriSign
It is anticipated that these enhancements to TopClass will make the product more user-friendly, from both an administrator and a user perspective. For users, the new and improved interface will facilitate ease of navigation across the application and will also improve the learning experience with personalized dashboards that display all relevant learning information – for example, my learning plans, upcoming training sessions and summary of my progress. In addition, sophisticated workflows have been built into the system to automate and streamline processes, enabling administrators to set up learning activities more efficiently.
The improved eCommerce module within TopClass 8 introduces the ability to choose from a number of different payment options and supports the use of tokens, discounts and coupons. The system also accommodates multiple pricing structures, commonly required by associations and professional bodies, where product pricing varies by membership status.
