A set of reports recently released from the EU:

e-Learning: Designing Tomorrow's Education

The European Commission published this interim report which describes progress in the EU against the 4 key items on the eLearning Action Plan:
  • infrastructure and equipment
  • training at all levels
  • quality content and service
  • European co-operation and networking

Basic summary being that infrastructure access is now almost there, but focus now needs to shift on the quailty of content and teaching. Mostly describing educational institutions but also some on business.

IT Disparities in EU
Linked to the specific action lines of e-Europe, the Benchmarking Report describes the high disparities between Member States in IT progress.
