| Happy Computers has introduced an innovative new way to learn. On a Speed Learning day every student chooses a different subject to learn every hour and creates their own course. With 14 different options every hour, there are over 750,000 different possible combinations.
This week Happy Computers introduced an innovative new way to learn, called Speed Learning. Like Speed Dating, you choose a new subject every hour. "A delegate might start with Excel Pivot Tables", explained Happy Computers Chief Executive Henry Stewart, "then move on to Outlook mail-merge, before having an hour of Stress Relief. And that's just the morning. Or a completely different set of options. Each student decides what they want to learn."
The first Speed Learning day, on 15th May, was fully booked with 72 delegates, switching between up to 14 different choices every hour. "I have to say the logistics were complicated. But our people did an incredible job and the buzz was amazing. One learner said he hadn't felt so energized on a course for years."
"We believe this is a real first in training innovation", continued Henry. "Like many providers we have often provided short focused sessions for a specific client. So you might have an hour on one subject to one group and then an hour on another subject to another. But we believe we are the first provider to offer this kind of choice on the public programme."
Following the popularity of this first event, Happy Computers are planning a whole range over the next Few months. A repeat general Speed Learning day on 9th September is already booking up. Speed Learning days specializing in Excel, Access, management training and the various aspects of online social networking are planned too.
Client Quote
"An excellent experience. Courses were concise and extremely useful. Handouts mean I can take away what I have learnt in practice. A very conducive atmosphere to learning, extremely helpful staff, excellent refreshments and facilities. I can't wait for the next one. Thank you for the most useful course I've been on in a long time."
